Hi I’m Dave Kaminski of Web Video University with some more web video tips for Shama.TV viewers and today I’m going to cover the 3 major ways that people are profiting from web video. The first is web video-based products. This is where you take any product that is normally produced in print or in training sessions or live seminars, and record them on video instead. Ebooks are a good example. A lot of times it can take you a month or so to write an Ebook, but depending upon what the subject matter is, you may be able to produce that Ebook as a video product instead, and do it in just a few days. Now as a video product it is going to have a higher perceived valued, AND you are going to be able to take clips from your videos and use them as really effective teaser in your marketing. Now, the second one that people are profiting from is Web Video Consulting, and this to me is either making videos for other websites or being paid to help other websites with their Web Video Marketing efforts. This is one of the golden benefits of learning how to make web videos because not only will you be able to make videos for your own business, but you’ll be able to take these skills and open up entirely new streams of revenue by providing your expertise to other businesses. And the final way that people are profiting through web video is through something called Video Podcasting. Now what is a video podcast? Well, Shama.TV is a video podcast. It’s a site where solid, video-based content, not sales pitches, are delivered continually in episodic format. How do you profit from it? Well, there are two primary ways: number one, being advertised or supported. If you get enough eyeballs on your site and your site is targeted, advertiser will want to be on your site too. This is really no different than the way television works. The second way to profit is to use your video podcast site to promote your own products or services. Now, you can’t be blatant about it because your video podcast site is really about quality content, but it’s okay to go ahead and put banner ads or video ads on your site. This is what I personally do, and let me tell you, it’s an excellent way to turn consumers into customers. Now there are lots of other ways that you can profit from web video, and really, you’re only limited by your drive and the depth of your imagination, but I really just wanted to talk about the big 3 proven ways here.
